As Apple Stores round the world put up red Apple signs to symbolise World AIDS Day, an email from Apple this morning also gave another indication of Cupertino's commitment to fighting this deadly disease.
Apple will contribute a proportion of proceeds from every product sold at the Apple online store to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS. This is not a US-only campaign as all the online stores are showing the same front page screen, which echoes the message in the email.
Today's effort is in addition to the Product(RED) campaign which is running until 7 December: "every time you purchase a (PRODUCT)RED participating app or In-App Purchase item, 100% of the proceeds go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.
