In my usual morning run through email, news and updates, I saw in the Mac App Store application that there was an update available for iMovie. This is now shown as version 10.0.4 and the rubric in the app tells us that this "Improves stability and resolves issues that could cause iMovie to quit unexpectedly."

This does not appear related to any issues that this application has with OS X 10.10, Yosemite, so there may well be further changes before that version of OS X is made available.
