I just had email from Apple about the one-day Apple shopping event in the Apple online store this coming Friday (10 January). Accessing the main page, I see that, as well as the gold gift header, a couple of the items on the front page show slightly lower prices.

Part of the conditions posted tell us that "Shopping event prices are solely available on January 10, 2014, are subject to change, and are listed in Thai Bhat (sic)". There is still the free shipping on purchases over 2,000 baht (that is how I spell it). This seems to be a regional promotion as neither the US nor UK stores have such page changes, while the Singapore and Malaysia online stores do.
