One of the most often quoted analysts when it comes to Apple is Michael Gartenberg. He had seemed to have a fixation on an Apple TV over the last year or so and this did make some waves. It was often his priority when it came to questioning Apple officials, for example at the Q&A session during the last Apple Quarterly financial report.

Although he has been working for Gartner for a while, he did spend some time with Microsoft (brief), but is now reported to be joining Apple, the company that he analysed best. Connie Guglielmo on Forbes writes about the move and tells us that according to sources, "He is working on the marketing team under Apple's global marketing chief Phil Schiller."

We shall doubtless be hearing more about this move.
