IBM is building a cloud system for healthcare providers in Hong Kong and Macau by consolidating 100 servers used by some 600 the medical centers of Quality Health Care in the two locations to 8 IBM System x3650 servers. This will provide economic advantages for the participants by a reduction in maintenance, in disaster-recovery costs and will lead to savings in energy use.

As well as the servers, deployment of the Cognos Business Intelligence solution will provide key factor analysis leading to more timely performance management and decision making.
