When the iPhone 4 was updated to the 4S, the external specifications remained the same. Accessories that had been used with the earlier phone would still work with the new version. I was particularly pleased as two of my photo accessories, the olloclip lenses and the Glif tripod mount did not need to be updated.
With the iPhone 5, it was all change and both of these accessories will need replacing when I finally buy the new iPhone: it is thinner than the iPhone 4S. Earlier today, I had email from Studio Neat with information about the new Glif mounts which are arriving from the factory now and can be ordered immediately.
The new version of the mount is the same price as for the iPhone 4 or 4S version which is still available. On its own it is $20 but the Glif+ for $30 also includes the Serif and the Ligature: attachments for securing the iPhone and making it safe. These are available separately, but from experience (I did not do this and had to order the other parts later) I would suggest the Glif+ rather than the mount alone.
The images here are for the iPhone 4/4S accessories which are the same apart from the necessary dimension changes.
