I have just been forwarded (I cannot say from whom) some information concerning the launch of the iPad on Friday.

True released its usual Thai-only information which more or less tells users about the "True Launch for the new iPad." The information is as shown on the press release.

They tell us that it is to be available from Friday April 27, 2555 beginning at 0:00 pm (sic). The details (loosely translated) are as follows.

The night of April 26
• 23:00 event for customers
• Count Down for 23:59 pm and the new iPad.
• Midnight the new iPad goes on sale.

Location: True Stadium by True Coffee, 4th Floor, Siam Paragon.

I was also sent a picture release from AIS which does not do justice at all to the Retina display. This indicates that the release is at 11am on Friday at The Rink, Central World, so bring your ice skates.

As yet, there has been no information from DTAC.

It is also anticipated that the iStudio outlets will be selling the new device as from 11 am on Friday. Apple's online store for Thailand does not have any information about the device (or ordering) which we also expect will be changed by Friday morning.
