Pre-release of Waterlogue for macOS

By Graham K. Rogers

Waterlogue

A couple of weeks ago, just as my iPad Pro arrived, Pixelmator announced its new Photo editing app for the iPad: Pixelmator Photo. This was not available for the iPhone even though Pixelmator works on the smaller device. I also have a Mac version. The app was announced a few days before the release and I preordered because the video showed how rich Pixelmator Photo was. Apart from some limitations on my 6th generation iPad, the app works really well, particularly on the iPad Pro.

One of my longtime iOS favorites is Waterlogue and I have been using this on my iPhones for over 5 years. Other apps have come along with some more spectacular effects, but by sticking to the basic watercolor themes, this remains a valuable app.

This week I saw a note on Twitter about a desktop version of Waterlogue. Although I was in bed, I started the Mac and did a search on the MacApp store for Waterlogue It is expected that it will be released on 6 May and the price (slightly heavy perhaps) was shown as 1080 baht. I preordered this right away and will look forward to its eventual release, when I hope to write further.
