Cassandra

Apple's AirPods that were announced some months ago but apparently delayed apparently due to some unspecified technical problems, are now available for purchase in more than 100 countries and territories.

Apple AirPods This is a release not only for the usually-favoured markets, as these are also shown in the online store for Thailand. They will be arriving at Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers next week, although only limited quantities will be available.

The price of the AirPods is some 6,900 baht in Thailand and delivery is shown as being from 20 December. Also on the page is information about terms: Payment by credit card can be done from 690 baht a month with 0% interest for 10 months with Citibank and SCB (bear with me, that was with the help of Google translate).

The US price for these is $159 which makes the Thai price about 850 baht dearer at today's exchange rates, when VAT (7%) is factored in. Some of that will probably be local taxes and import fees.
