Once in a while an app that does an really nice job comes along and for me it is a must-have. Once such is Waterlogue which produces watercolor-like images from a user's photographs.

I had a look at this originally in December 2013 and use it fairly often. At that time, the price was shown as $3.99.

The app has just appeared (again) in the Best New Apps section of the iTunes store here and Waterlogue is now shown as $2.99.

Highly recommended.

Graham K. Rogers teaches at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University in Thailand where he is also Assistant Dean. He wrote in the Bangkok Post, Database supplement on IT subjects. For the last seven years of Database he wrote a column on Apple and Macs. He is now continuing that in the Bangkok Post supplement, Life.
