CamScanner+

As sometimes happens with interesting apps, a few days after I write a review, the app has another update and a number of features are added or changed. This is the case with CamScanner+, an app that uses the iPhone camera to create a PDF or JPG scan of documents.

I reviewed version 3.6.0 of CamScanner+ earlier this week, which was updated last week (15 Jan) and included reminders of a couple of other like apps: Genius Scan - PDF Scanner and My Scans.

Now the app has been updated to version 3.6.1 and there are a number of extras that are quite useful:

  • Syncing speeds have been increased

  • Users may upload documents to Onedrive

  • Documents may be sorted by name

  • The ability to re-capture and replace any page of a document is included

  • The tagging feature has been optimized

  • Faxing activity details have been added

  • In a multi-page document, users may slide quickly to find a certain page

  • There is additional language support: Portuguese, Polish, Italian, Turkish, Russian and Arabic.

CamScanner+ is available on the app store for $0.99 and has a number of in-app purchases available. There is also a free version of the app - CamScanner - that also has a number of options available as in-app purchases.
