I guess the weekend makes it hard for some folks at Apple to get to grips with the tasks that are essential for other parts of the operation. A heads-up from Timothy Reavis on iDownloadBlog tells of a new section in the iTunes store: Apps for Health. I had a look at the iTunes Health & Fitness category, but there was no such link either there or on the main page of the iTunes App store.

I wondered if this was another case of things available in other countries, but not here (like Microsoft Office for the iPad - not Apple's fault, of course). I went back to the article by Timothy Reavis and clicked on the link. Indeed there is a page for Apps for Health, but it was not exactly what I expected.

I switched to the US Store and found that the page was populated with a number of apps, so I took a screenshot of that too and headed back to the Thai store where I searched for some of these.

They are available in the Thai store. For now, users of the Thai App Store are going to have to track the compatible apps down themselves.

Perhaps after the weekend, the local App Store will be updated too.
