MY iTunes apps panel showed me Monday morning that the locally-developed Camera 500 has been updated once more and this time the developer, Chamnarn Suksai, has added another 15 filters (the last update added a dozen). This is now at version 1.49.

The new filters have been added to the FiltersFX folder - accessed through the tool bar at the bottom of the screen. FiltersFX itself was added with the 1.44 update (12 filters) and there are now 27 filters available here.

I had already thought this to be a good app, but the way this is evolving, each update improving the output, puts this right at the top of my list of photographic apps I go for first. Camera 500 is quick and easy to use, but the filters and editing make this good value for the $1.99 cost.
